350 Fingers Hard at Work

The Brookline Community Foundation hosted a Weatherization Action on Saturday, October 24, to coincide with 350.org's International Day of Climate Action. More than 35 volunteers (and 350 fingers!) came to pitch in:
~ cleaning out the dirt floor basement and filling a 30 yard dumpster
~ sealing heating ducts, making them more efficient
~ reglazing old, leaky windows
~ digging out window wells for improved basement ventilation

Food Pantry Re-Opens @ St Paul's Church
On August 13th, the Brookline Emergency Food Pantry will re-open in its newly renovated St Paul's Church location, at the corner of St. Paul Street & Aspinwall Avenue. The re-tooled space will offer better shelving for easier shopping and other improvements.
The Brookline Food Pantry offers food assistance to individuals and families who live in Brookline.
