Volunteers from Lincoln School AfterHours U harvest potates in BCF's Garden.        We get a lot of interesting calls from people in the community.  One of the recent calls I answered was from a community member who wondered if there was a way to find out about volunteer opportunities in Brookline.  She told me all about the resources available for those searching for volunteer opportunities in Newton, and wondered why Brookline doesn't have the same type of thing.  I explained that YourBrookline.org has the ability to serve as a central resource for volunteer opportunities - people just have to hop on and start posting them.  So if you haven't already checked out the Bulletin Board on this site, take a look.  If you know about volunteer opportunities, post them, start a group to share your info, forward this post to anyone you know who might have thoughts about this.  Like they said in Field of Dreams...If you build it, they will come!
