It's free. It's fun. It's friendly. It's safe. Not a race. Not just a ride. It's a parade!
Bicycle Beacon Street - recommended for 10 years old and older - five miles with one long hill.
or
Take the Cottage Farm circuit - recommended for grades 1 - 4 and novices - 1.5 or 3 miles and sedate.
Both parades start and end at Amory Park.
Check out the website at Brookline Bikes.
There is still time to get your old bike out and tuned up. Landry's, REI, and EMS are Bike Parade sponsors.
No bike?
Are you ready to buy a new one? Landry's, REI, and EMS sell bikes.
Borrow one. Make sure it's the right size and in good working order.
Rent one. Urban AdventTours, also a sponsor, rents bikes.
Be a parade marshal. Use your people skills to placate drivers for the 6 minutes it takes for the parade to move through an intersection. We'll give you the vest and T-shirt.
No helmet?
You know you need one.
Annoyed by bicycle anarchists?
