aTTempted gaLLery 2009 followed closely in the footsteps of its predecessors and came off a smashing success! 45 pieces of artwork were exhibited, more than 150 people showed up to enjoy the art, wine and company. "Dance the Zouk" rocked the rafters until the cows came home.

Many thanks to the Brookline Arts Center for hosting this annual thing. It has become easier and more fun each year. Susan Navarre, yippeee to you!

The comment most frequently heard during the party referred to the incredible artwork; the quality and creative force behind each piece. By maintaining the 15 x15" size limit, several dozen works could be hung in a relatively tight space and spin an eclectic visual experience. As with previous years, the works hung together in an almost magical way, despite the enormous range of styles, subject matter and pallet choices. CJ Lori masterfully curated the work, allowing color, texture and image to guide her.

Alex Campbell once again ruled the wine bar with her brilliant repartee and quick humor. Hanne Dina Bernstein and Tate Mitchell were crisp and effecient at checking in the 45 pieces in a very short time. Jenn Mason officiated on many fronts and held the party together. Many other folks helped bring this beast to life.
