John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site Presents "Envisioning the Future: A Community Dialogue"

Date:
05/06/2009 - 7:00pm

On Wednesday evening, May 6, John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site, the Brookline birthplace of our 35th president, invites community members to the second of two early May events to launch a strategic planning process that will define its next fifteen to twenty years as a National Park Service site. From 7:00 to 9:00 pm, the public is invited to an event entitled "Envisioning the Future: A Community Dialogue" at the Edward Devotion School auditorium, 345 Harvard Street, located near Kennedy National Historic Site. At this event, the National Park Service will briefly explain its strategic planning process, introduce some of the issues it seeks to address, and offer opportunities for attendees to offer input on these issues or suggest others for consideration.  Prior to the meeting, from 6:30 to 7:00 pm, attendees will have opportunities to chat informally with National Park Service staff, view contemporary and historic photos of the site, and get information about recent site studies and upcoming programs.

For further information about the two strategic planning events in early May, please call Mark Swartz at 617-566-1689 x216.  For information on John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site's strategic planning process, please go to www.nps.gov/jofi.
