The Friends of the Minot Rose Garden with the help and expertise of Master Rosarian David Cannistraro will be pruning the roses in anticipation of their spring growth. David will demonstrate pruning techniques and answer questions while we work. Please join us, no prior experience is necessary. This is an opportunity to learn an important part of rose care from a master. Please wear work gloves and bring pruners if you have them. This event is free.

The Friends of the Minot Rose Garden will be meeting at Sussman House, (50 Pleasant St.) for our annual organizational meeting. This is the only time all year we have an actual meeting! We will be discussing the upcoming Winthrop Square reconstruction and its impacts to the Rose Garden, the potential for a spring event, feedback on last year's efforts, and our annual contribution to Brookline GreenSpace Alliance.

This is a great time for new members to come find out about the friends and get involved as we start a new gardening season. All are welcome.

Join Master Rosarian David Cannistraro and the Friends of the Minot Rose Garden for our annual Spring Pruning Seminar. This is a free, hands-on event. All experience levels are welcome. David will demonstrate proper pruning techniques and then will answer questions as we work. Please bring pruning clippers if you have them, as well as gardening gloves. There are a few tools available at the garden. Help bring the garden back to life, getting it ready for a season of beautiful blooms.
