Free Collage Class for Ages 9-16
Students will use appropriation of different materials to put together a mixed media piece that describes and represnets their cutural backgroun, their heritage, and who they are as individuals. Studesnt will also get a brief lesson in how to compose a work of art: learning about the basic elements and principles of design, which will assist them in utilizing their materials to create wonderful works of art. A class for ages 13 and up who want to begin or continue learning about pottery. Open for both handbuilding and wheelthrowing, you will develop your skills with lots of important technical information combined with artists' techniques for finding your own personal style. Perfect for those putting together a portfolio of work for high school or college, or just use this class as a way to relax at the beginning of each week by connecting with your creative side!

Teen Summer Film Editing Camp at the Coolidge
Lights! Camera! Action! Cut!...But what happens next? At the Jump Cuts Camp at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, teens will discover how stories are told through the film editing process. They will and analyze clips from over 100 years of moviemaking to learn how films are put together to make us laugh, cry, be scared, and everything in between.
