The Friends of Madame White Snake announce the premiere of “WHEN THE WHITE SNAKE CRIES,”an original musical for children based on a 1,000 year old Chinese legend.

The Madame White Snake opera will premiere in February 2010. In an exclusive sneak preview, Soprano Sol Kim Bentley and Tenor Julius Ahn will sing the love arias of the opera to the accompaniment of Timothy Steele. The opera's creator and librettist, Cerise Lim Jacobs will present a heart-rendering narration of the 1000 year old Chinese myth.
Brought to you by the Friends of Madame White Snake and the friends of the Brookline Public Library. The event is FREE but seating is LIMITED. Refreshments and chinese delicacies served after the presentation.
